Will practices estate planning and estate administration, bringing an empathetic approach and a keen insight to matters that can weigh heavily in the most difficult times of life. Will believes that preparing for life’s certainties of death and taxes should be within reach for everyone, which led him to the team at Hopler, Wilms, and Hanna.
Will is licensed to practice in the states of North Carolina and New York. He has practiced domestic and international estate and tax planning for individuals and their closely held businesses, including complex trust structures with estate, gift, and GST tax implications, and has also dealt with residential real estate, and intellectual property matters. Prior to the legal profession, Will managed a Jersey Mike’s sub shop and had worked on his family’s dairy farm.
Will earned a B.S. in graphic design and a J.D. from Liberty University. In law school, Will achieved some success in both written and oral advocacy in Moot Court and was an active member of the Law Review program.
Will grew up in the rural Southern Tier of New York and has lived in central Virginia and in Austin, Texas before coming to the Triangle to raise his family. Will likes spending time with his children, is an avid disc golfer, a fair cook, and generally enjoys being outdoors.
