Karli graduated from The University of Alabama, summa cum laude, with her BS in Marketing with a specialization in International Business, as well as her BA in Public Relations with a Spanish minor. In May 2019, she graduated again from UA with a Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration. She also completed certificates in Public Interest Law and International and Comparative Law.
As an attorney, Karli began her career practicing employment litigation, representing plaintiffs who had been adversely impacted in the workplace through an employer’s illegal discrimination, retaliation, breach of contract, sexual harassment, and more. Karli has also practiced in transactional roles, providing general counsel to businesses and individuals across a variety of industries, primarily with respect to commercial contracts, governance, formation and organization, landlord/tenant disputes, commercial real estate, HOA disputes and transactions involving the purchase and sale of a business. Further, Karli has acted as in-house counsel for family care homes in the Triangle, as well as negotiated physician contracts and other healthcare related legal issues.
