Samantha L. Rathke

Samantha is a native North Carolinian raised in Raleigh. Samantha earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Spanish from the University of Colorado Boulder before returning to North Carolina, where she graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

Before joining the team at Hopler, Wilms, & Hanna, Samantha practiced a range of civil matters, primarily focused on Family Law and Estate Planning, providing legal services to military service members, retirees, and their families across North Carolina. Samantha also partnered with the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program for four tax seasons where she served as a site coordinator and certified volunteer tax preparer.

Samantha practices Estate Planning and Estate Administration, focusing on educating and empowering individuals to guide themselves and their loved ones with certainty and peace of mind in planning for life’s next steps.

Samantha is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and is a member of the Sixteenth Judicial District Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association. Samantha enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the Bull City, and traveling.
